Down Town Top Ranking 9/30 / w Special Guest DJ Preservation!

For this past week at Down Town Top Ranking we were joined by one of our good friends, DJ Preservation -- Killer DJ, Beat-Miner, Producer and Mos Def's Touring DJ. Preservation has an amazing ear for reggae breaks and showcased some of his major league selection on Thursday night.

Thursday was also the debut of the Brand New Machine party that will be joining us in the Basement floor of Happy Ending. Brand New Machine is a global party with off-shoots in Kingston, Negril, Houston and Miami. For their NY party, our bredrin Max Glazer (Federation

This Thursday (9/30) Down Town Top Ranking is proud to welcome DJ Preservation as special guest. DJ Preservation has long been a mainstay in the NYC DJ community with a heady reputation as a serious beat digger and talented mixer who seamlessly blends funk, soul, hip hop and reggae while keeping a party live and bumping! For the past five years he has been collaborating with MOS DEF as his tour DJ as well producing a number of tracks on his last albums. All in All Preservation is a supremely talented and nice guy and we're excited to see what he brings to play!

DJ preservation is a long time collaborator and tour DJ for Mos Def as well as being one of the most knowledgeable (and tasteful!) cats in the game when it comes to soul, funk, hip hop and yes....reggae breaks!
